 Delaney Herring - Larry Herrin - Sep 29, 2014[Print]
First off, Delaney Herring of Marion Co., TN shares the same DNA as do the lines of Daniel Herren and Shadrack Herrin who are likely brothers.

Delaney's namesake was Delaney Herring who was married to Susannah (likely Quilling). I just found that Delaney was born 1739 in Queen Anne's County, Maryland and was the son of William and Neomy Herrin. Here's the source:

Maryland, Births and Christenings Index, 1662-1911 about Delany Herrn
Name: Delany Herrn
Gender: Male

What's more conjecture was that Delaney was married to Susannah Quilling (my conjecture). I just found this land grant that does show that his wife was Susannah _______:

More on Delaney Herrin:

Delaney was married to Susannah Quilling, but she was the widow of Clement Quilling who she married 4 Jan 1747 in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. This is confirmed by the wills of her father, John Miller, in 1750 Kent Co., DE and her mother Dorothy Miller in 1762 Kent Co., DE.

It's not certain who the father of Clement Quilling is, but he is listed with Joseph Quilling, s/o Thomas Quilling in Dorothy  Miller's will.

Maryland Marriages, 1655-1850 about Susannah Miller

It would appear that Susannah and Delaney were closely tied to the Delmar Peninula Herrings and were likely of the ALexander Herring line who immigrated to Westmoreland Co., VA in 1657.
