I've pieced together this research. There is much new information here:

He had the following children:

Second Generation

2. Edmond Herrin (Isaac).

He had the following children:

+ 3 M i. Isaac Herrin was born in 1714/1715. He died in 1832.


Third Generation

3. Isaac Herrin (Edmond, Isaac) was born in 1714/1715 in Hunterdon County, New Jersy. He died in 1832 in Culpeper County, Virginia.

He had the following children:

+ 4 M i. Isaac Herrin was born about 1730.

+ 5 M ii. Dennis Herrin was born about 1735.


Fourth Generation

4. Isaac Herrin (Isaac, Edmond, Isaac) was born about 1730.

The following are signers of Culpeper County legislative petitions in the 1770's on record in the Virginia

State Library, they are presumed to have been Minutemen. (Culpeper Co. His. Society, p.39-41)

Per Jack Donahue research:

"Isaac Herrin of Culpeper Co. Va. sold 22 1/2 acres of land to Samuel Titus." This is

part of the same Hopewell property originally owned by the Grandfather, Isaac Herin

and willed to his son Edmund.



1810 Culpeper Co., Virginia (Philip Smith)

Theresa married Philip Smith on 10 Oct 1786 in Maidenhead, Hunterdon, New Jersey. Philip was born on 6 Mar 1760 in Maidendenhead, Hunterdon, New Jersey. He died on 19 Nov 1833 in Trigg County, Kentucky. He was buried in Smith Cemetery, Trigg County, Kentucky.

8 M iii. Isaac F. Herrin was born about 1771 in Culpeper County, Virginia. He died on 9 Sep 1859 in Lewis County, Kentucky.

Isaac married Mary Freeman "Polly" daughter of Robert Freeman and Ann Dillard after 1811 in Culpeper County, Virginia. Mary was born in 1786 in Culpeper County, Virginia. She died on 15 Feb 1859 in Lewis County, Kentucky.



Dennis is placed as the son of Isaac because Isaac was with Thomas Camp in 1770's Culpeper County,

Virginia and both siigned the Declaration of War.

Dennis married Lucy Camp daughter of Thomas Camp and Winifred Starling. Lucy was born in 1758 in Virginia.

They had the following children:

+ 9 M i. William Herrin was born about 1790. He died about 1850.

10 M ii. Reuben Herrin .

Reuben married Lucy Wall daughter of Jacob Wall and Elizabeth Cassidy on 11 Jun 1811 in Casey County, Kentucky. Lucy was born about 1794.



Fifth Generation

9. William Herrin (Dennis, Isaac, Edmond, Isaac) was born about 1790 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. He died about 1850 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

William married Elizabeth Ross on 22 Dec 1821 in Green County, Kentucky. Elizabeth was born about 1797 in North Carolina. She died before 1848 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

NOTE: William Ross of Hmpshire Co., VA (1848) was mentioned in William Herrin's Will.

William and Elizabeth had the following children:

11 F i. Anne Crawford Herrin was born about 1822 in Bradsforville, Marion Couny, Kentucky.

Anne married Andrew Wayman .

12 F ii. Lucy Jane Herrin was born in 1825 in Casey County, Kentucky. She died on 29 Oct 1892 in Edinburgh, Johnson County, Indiana.

Lucy married Henry H. Gaddis son of John Gaddis and Mary Dye. Henry was born in 1828 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He died on 6 May 1864 in Richmond County, Virginia. He was buried in Murietta National Cemetery.

13 M iii. Amos E. Herrin was born in 1828 in Green County, Kentucky. He died on 7 Nov 1893 in Bradfordsville, Marion County, Kentucky.

Amos married Serena Noel . Serena was born on 9 Jan 1830 in Kentucky. She died on 18 Jun 1922 in Bradfordsville, Marion County, Kentucky.

14 M iv. John Herrin was born in 1829 in Csey County, Kentucky.

15 F v. Polly Missouri Herrin was born in 1831 in Green County, Kentucky.

The system won't allow me to delete this post, but I was too hasty in my submission.  It would appear that Isaac who married Terisa is the same Isaac who married Hannah Montague and Mrs. Bolton.  That means there is one too many generations of Isaac.  I'm sure Dennis Herrin is of this line, but for now, I need to do more work.  Megan, if you want to delete this entire entry please do so for now.
